Apple Pie Oatmeal

This idea was inspired on some random chilly Saturday morning a few weeks ago. It had been awhile since I'd had a bowl of oatmeal and I forgot how comforting (and yummy) it can be. I didn't create this recipe with intentions to make it taste like apple pie, but it came out that way and I am not complaining. I will be enjoying this one a lot this season.

Serving Size: 2

What You'll Need:

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 3/4 cups rolled oats
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar

Directions:

  1. Bring water to a boil, once boiling add oats and diced apple
  2. Cook on high for 5 minutes or until desired consistency
  3. Remove from heat and add cinnamon, vanilla extract, and agave nectar
  4. Let sit for 2 minutes and serve
