Watermelon Ice Cubes. The prettiest way to keep your summer beverage chilled.

Summer is upon us, people! And I can almost guarantee that if you try these pretty little watermelon ice cubes, they will become a staple in your kitchen this season/always.

These magical cubes of frozen sweetness are the perfect addition to any beverage. Not only are they the easiest thing you will ever make in your life, they look so pretty in a glass! Now when I say easy to make, I mean EASY. You don't even need an ice cube tray. Just cut up some watermelon into cubes and toss them in the freezer for a few hours… TA-DA!

Other than being pretty and easy to make, why do you need these? Because they make drinking water so much easier. I am a pro at getting in my 8 glasses of water a day. I love water. But even I need a way to spice it up every now and then. Plus after you finish your water, you have a delicious snack!

Make a batch of these watermelon ice cubes on Sunday night and use them up all week. Or serve them up at your next get together for a way to perk up your beverages. Just promise me you will try them! Cheers.

What You'll Need:

  • Fresh watermelon

  • Parchment paper

Directions:

  1. Cut watermelon into small cubes. Arrange the cubes on parchment paper in a single layer and place in the freezer. Once the cubes have frozen serve them up in the beverage of your choice or store in an airtight container.

Notes:

  1. I've also blended the watermelon and froze the puree in an ice tray. Obviously this works too, but it tastes exactly the same and requires more effort.
