Road Trippin' Up the Pacific Coast

We spent the week of New Year's road tripping up the pacific coast. It's a trip we have been dying to do and were so excited to finally have time to make it happen.

We rented a car, loaded it up, and headed straight for the Pacific Coast Highway!

Obviously home (LA) was our starting point. Our final destination was Seattle. Those were our only solid plans. The in-between we would figure out as we go.

SPOILER ALERT: we did not kill each other after spending so much time in a car. True love.

We took eight days total for the trip. We drove for five days and then spent the last three days in Seattle ringing in 2016 with some good friends of ours.

It was so liberating to live without an agenda for a week. Talk about feeling FREE.

We stopped all over the place, and often, for photo ops, snacking, sight-seeing... mostly snacking. The cities we actually stayed the night in were Monterey, CA; Redding, CA; Eugene, OR; Portland, OR; & Seattle, WA. We ended up loving every place we stayed, each for their incredibly unique charm!

I would absolutely recommend this drive to anyone! We turned in our rental car in Seattle and flew back to LA Sunday night. It was great! If you have any questions, or are planning this trip yourself, email me! hello@project-sunny.com
